Conventional Farms

California Safe Soil has collaborated with Dr. Edwin Lewis at the University of California at Davis to test the crop, soil and environmental impact of food hydrolysate in agricultural applications. Dr. Lewis and the CSS Operations team are ready to provide the necessary field and technical support to work with the company’s prospective farm customers in designing, implementing, and completing field tests of food hydrolysate.

We have selected the following crops for detailed investigation by Dr. Lewis:

  1. Almonds
  2. Avocados

Field Trial Setup and Support

CSS is ready to assist and arrange field trials for farming operations that are interested in participating in our trial program. We will provide both technical and field support for the application process to ensure a successful trial for interested farm participants in the program. To start the process on your trial, or to get further information on our trial program, please email us. We would be happy to assist you.

Trial Results

For over a year, we have been working to produce preliminary growth trials of the selected crops in the field, laboratory and greenhouse. See our research here.

Below are preliminary results from tomato growth trials in sterile soil in Dr. Lewis's lab are shown below*: ---PHOTO/CHART--- *Control is no fertilizer; H2H™ is our food hydrolysate; Urea is a common chemical fertilizer.
